About Us

Salon Kavi is an award-winning salon offering a full line hair services and skin care services. Over 7 years ago, Salon KAVI had its beginning as Stilo Salon in San Mateo. Sisters, Karla Pelaez-Barrick and Victoria Pelaez-Pintal took ownership of this location in 2008. Along with the change in ownership came some new and exciting changes in staff and decor. After two successful years, the business savvy siblings decided to personalize the salon even further with a new name. Taking the first 2 letters from each of their names, the moniker “KAVI” was born.
